Re: PA0RDT Antenna
I saw a significant increase in signals and a reduction in noise when the coax shield was connected to a good earth ground and an RF isolation transformer was installed. I believe the current version has the isolation transformer already installed.

Re: RSP2 AND SDRuno V1.3/1.31
No, it works on both versions. This is the primary reason I don't use 1.31: https://www.sdrplay.com/community/viewt ... =11&t=4369

Re: Receive Antenna & Impedance "Matching"
SDROM, You never cease to amaze me. Increasing gain or adding attenuation does one of two things only: It either increases signal AND noise in the case of gain and reduces signal AND noise in the case of attenuation. There is a big advantage to maintaining a low noise floor but adding attenuation is...

Re: Receive Antenna & Impedance "Matching"
IF YOU CAN HEAR A DIFFERENCE IN THE NOISE LEVEL OF YOUR RECEIVER BETWEEN AN ANTENNA BEING CONNECTED AND ONE NOT BEING CONNECTED, YOU HAVE ALL THE RECEIVER GAIN YOU CAN USE! Let me add to what the author of the above is saying in my own words. "OPTIMIZE THE SIGNAL TO NOISE RATIO NOT THE RECEIVED SIG...

Re: Receive Antenna & Impedance "Matching"
The first two Antscope screenshots you posted at the link show Z deviating from 50Ω by 42% @5.475 Mhz and 40% @5.650 Mhz. In my world a 42% deviation is significant.

Re: Virtual Trackgen
Uploading hex files with XLoader.exe is much much simpler than using the command line tool.

Re: AD9850-ARDUINO Interconnect
Steve posting this for your information, hope it can help.: Also tried uploading the trackgen Arduino hexfile to a Mega 2560R3, same result - which I expected!! I did note that the 2560's Rx LED flashed as if it was receiving data when I clicked on the Arduino COM ports number in trackgen, the blink...
