Re: A hopeful suggestion for an enhancement to SDRuno

Thanks again for bothering to reply Roger To find that I can still be a complete twit at the age of 80 isn't encouraging... I have been guilty of "male manual blindness." Goodness knows how I avoided seeing the filtering optionit when I returned to the manual after your response. However, to be hone...

Re: SAM MODE "ANOMALY"

Thanks yet again Andy (now I don't feel quite so daft!).
Because it worked with DSB (which is really AM?) I had assumed that it would work the same for ssb - especially since it often did, although, of course, the manual is quite speific.

Re: A hopeful suggestion for an enhancement to SDRuno

Tracking feature Roger?
Off to check the manual forthwith..
Did you by any chance mean the "Find" command - If so, yes, I am familiar with that - what I had in mind was akin to the SDR# panel that pops up with info on the tuned frequency (if the information has been stored)

Re: AUTO CENTERING OF VFO

Thanks Martin, I very much appreciate your very lucid explanation and amplification. I have been guilty of misunderstanding the manual, having misinterpreted it as "WHEN ZOOMED," rather than zooming in to center the vfo. However, it would be very convenient for the operator to be able to OPT to AUTO...

Re: SAM MODE "ANOMALY"

Thanks very much Heinrich.
My ignorance is obvious, but I'm learning thanks to folks like you (I never knew that SSB transmissions had no carrier frequency).
Now, of course it makes perfect sense to me

Re: AUTO CENTERING OF VFO

Thanks Martin
Operating in max zoom as I very often do, this feature presumably cannot work.
Clearly it must operate only when "unzoomed" or at least not maxed out...

SAM MODE "ANOMALY"

Using an RSP2 and SDRuno, I have long been puzzled by anomalies with the operation of the SAM mode with SSB transmissions. No matter what how I "tweak" the PLL T.C. and/or Filter Bandwidth in the associated Settings panel, corruption of the received signal persists. However, experimenting (as usual)...

A hopeful suggestion for an enhancement to SDRuno

When searching through any part of the frequency spectrum available using the RSPs a really useful enhancemnt to the SDRuno programme would be for the currenly tuned frequency/VFO to be highlighted in an associated memory bank file, if already stored. This would assume that one had a memory bank ass...

AUTO CENTERING OF VFO

In the user manual it states that when the main display is zoomed, the tuned frequency will auto-center. I am currently using V1.23 on an RSP2, having used all versions from at least V1.2 and have only managed to centre the VFO manually (by pressing the VFO button). With my (very) limited knowledge ...

ALA-1530 & HI-Z ISSUE

Hi Andy (g1hbe)
If you see this, could you have a look at your pm's please - and appologies for the nudge!
I didn't want to raise the issue on the forum again for various reasons...
