Re: SDRSharper
I'm not sure why anyone would want to use SDRSharper when you can get hold of a copy of SDR Sharp 1361 - which was also released under the MIT licence. Just type "build 1361" into the search bar on this forum to find the link. You will have to scan down the entries to find the correct post and there...

Re: SDR Play low IF mode and images
We hope to have a better long term solution to the problem of unwanted images in Zero IF mode available in the not too distant future. Please keep an eye out for announcements. That is the fascination and excitement about Software Defined Radio - seeing and being part of on-going developements. You...

SDR Play low IF mode and images
I don't normally use the Low IF mode but with the removal of the I/Q imbalance correction in SDR# later versions I thought the LOW IF mode would be a good workaround - albeit only around 1.6MHz bandwidth. Unfortunately - and it was not totally unexpected I found weak but annoying images at 2 x the s...

Re: .NET 3.5 on Windows 10 and SDRSharp
In response to the two comments that Build 1361 worked straight off from a Win 8.1 install - that is good news. My install was from Windows 7 - so that may be where people are running into difficulties. My main PC is Win 8.1 which was a factory install so at some time I will upgrade to Win10 and sho...

Re: .NET 3.5 on Windows 10 and SDRSharp
Yes - from what I understood Win 10 has minimal support for Net 3.5 which is why SDR# had to do a load of re-coding and in the process dropped support for all but a few hardware platforms. If you look at the SDR# forum going back a little way SDR# posted this: We have been relying on the .NET Framew...

.NET 3.5 on Windows 10 and SDRSharp
I've just done a bit of googling and you can in fact install .NET 3.5 on a Windows 10 computer - with just a tiny bit of messing about. I would assume that once .NET 3.5 is installed on Win 10 then it would be possible to run an older build of SDR# eg 1361 without problems. Would anyone like to take...

Re: Frequency scanner options outside SDR#
Hi Paul, SDR console includes a pdf file listing the CAT commands available in SDR console. I found a file on the web that could be useful. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/wadei/HOWTO_TS-590S_monitor_CAT_commands_v1.2.pdf the problem for me is that the HHD serial port program comes up with an error mes...

Frequency scanner options outside SDR#
You can set up a basic frequency scanner in HDSDR using CSVUserListBrowser and set it up to step through frequencies in the database at user defined intervals. Then with a bit of work in a spreadsheet I can actually back calculate the time/frequency and set it up against the RDSSpy log I've built up...

Re: Problem With Set up (SDRPlay @ SDR Console
Hi Steve, From your screen shot it appears you have the LNA threshold at 50db, the Gain Reduction at 0db and the Visual gain at 0dB. This is WAY too much gain and will bring the noise floor so high that you can only see the tops of the strongest signals. Typical settings from left to right of the ga...

Re: SDR# End of support of the ExtIO interface?
In a nutshell - apart from being able to run in its most basic form (if you are lucky) SDR# has effectively locked SDRPlay out - so 3rd party plug ins won't work. If a plug-in doesn't work - it isn't the plug-in writer's fault. This happened around about build 1409. See post earlier in this thread -...
