Hi Rick,
New overwrites old - don't worry if the hardware driver doesn't update, there have been no functional changes to it, it was just updated with a different certificate to make it install easier on < Windows 8 machines

Re: New API Release V1.8 ?
Hello Ian, Sorry for the confusion... The installation executable is version 1.6.0 but it contains version 1.8.0 of the API - we'll find a better way to explain this information. So you are correct in the API/Driver installer that you found. The EXTIO was hot-fixed on 26th December as there was a bu...

Re: Norton reports MiricsSDRAPIInstaller_1.6.0 as unsafe
Hi,
This is a false positive. All of the files on our website are virus checked before uploading. You can either temporarily disable your anti-virus software for the installation or add the executable as an exception.

Re: Newbie questions
Hi Mark, Have you copied the API into the SDR-Console installation? SDR-Console comes with it's own copy of the API so unless you copy in the new one, it won't see it. Stop SDR-Console Copy C:\Program Files\MiricsSDR\API\x64\mir_sdr_api.dll to C:\Program Files\SDR-RADIO-PRO.com\mir_sdr_api.dll Then ...

New API Release - 1.8.0
We are pleased to announce release 1.8.0 of the API for the RSP. This is a major upgrade to the API with new features and an improved gain map which should result in improved performance over a key portion of the gain control range. Currently this API is available for Windows only, but versions for ...

Re: Source for linux API?
Hi,
I see that Scientific Linux is based on Red Hat/CentOS, which is GLIBC 2.12. The API is Mirics IP and is not available in source form. I will request a binary compatible version of the API for CentOS and let you know when it's available.
Best regards,

Re: SDRplay & Windows Vista x64 SP2
Hi Glen, We're looking for someone with Vista to test out a new release of the driver install with SHA-1 support. If you are happy to be a beta tester, drop me a note to support@sdrplay.com and I'll send it over to you. If you have disabled digital driver signing then I'm not sure you'll see the ben...

Re: USB Cable Adapter for Tablets
Hi Ron,
You can either get a micro USB to USB B cable or micro USB to USB-A female and then use your regular PC USB A-B cable.

Re: Unable to get Device Manager to recognise SDRplay
Hi, Sorry to hear you are having problems getting up and running. After you've done the driver installation and connected the RSP, do you not see the Mirics FlexiTV (MSi2500) device in the Audio, Video and Game Controllers section of the device manager? If not, does it appear as an unknown device? C...
