Re: A Pi and RSP1a ....run via WebGUI ?
Hi Neil, No, the Pi image software doesn't provide remote access. It would be great to be able to easily operate an SDR device remotely but it is very hard to do. The only straightforward way with an RSP1A (or any RSP) is by using SDR-Console with it's built in remote option, a good place to start r...

Re: RSP1A +Raspberry PI
I can control remote or remote desk from my PC computer to the Raspberry+RSP1A by CubicSDR. I dont know a clue about Raspberry, Linux and PC tech. and suppose the ideal is control the SDR directly from my PC but i can start this way and modify the communication in the future. Hi Recordable; Raspber...

Re: Newbie Question - Cubic sdr - raspberry pi 3
Does the setting "reduce CPU usage" works? Yes it does. Sorry for the delay, been away. Did some quick tests at different sample rates, these are approximate because they vary depending on a range of factors but they are indicative. 500KHz ... 45% normal, 34% reduced CPU usage 2.048MHz ... 72% norm...

Re: uninstall drivers on Mac?
Hi m.m, As per AussieSusan there is no issue with an older iMac in my radio shack and my setup is similar to yours, running Cubic on the Mac side and SDRUno and others under VMWare Fusion - Windows 10. I therefore wonder if something else is happening to you, eg. on my machine VMFusion won't recogni...

Re: Newbie Question - Cubic sdr - raspberry pi 3
Hi Calvin, From time to time I use CubicSDR on an iMac and it consumes between 85% and 120% processor according to Apple's Activity Monitor app which really surprised me. Being a cross platform app it probably uses it's own maths libraries and does not take advantage of any hardware assistance, or s...

Re: A couple of new user questions
Running HDSDR alone was fine. So I'm going to use the Pi for either HDSDR or SDRUno. Neither will run on a Pi, sadly they are both exclusively Windows apps. I say sadly because imho Windows in particular and MacOS (catching up fast) have become ever more burdensome and restricted. The maintainabili...

Re: openwebrx working with SDRPlay RSP2 on Raspberry Pi2B
Hi rob; good work, you've proven the point. It's easy to forget the Pi shares it's 5V rail with the RSP and passes all the RF crud straight through and many Pi plug packs struggle to provide enough power when peripherals are connected, causing max RFI. Long ago in the quest to reduce noise I found I...

Re: openwebrx working with SDRPlay RSP2 on Raspberry Pi2B
Hi rob, Glad to see you got it going, that was the hard part, congratulations!! It would seem to me that what you are seeing on your screen is in fact what your RSP is receiving, surely it can be nothing else, it's nothing to do with configuration, IMHO it can only be RF, and unwanted RF by the look...

Re: openwebrx working with SDRPlay RSP2 on Raspberry Pi2B
Hi again rob and I hope that is your name :) Your config file shows these are the settings you have chosen: samp_rate = 2400000 center_freq = 1250000 rf_gain = 0 #in dB. For an RTL-SDR, rf_gain=0 will set the tuner to auto gain mode, else it will be in manual gain mode. ppm = 0 Also, further down th...
