Re: Beverage or Wellbrook Loop?
Its a shame because I was very keen on a Wellbrook - more so than the Pixel based on what I was reading. My challenge is that I'm based in India so shipping is essentially a no go. I've decided I'll have a go at building my own and have ordered one of the LZ1AQ active antenna amplifier kits from act...

Re: Beverage or Wellbrook Loop?
Just as an aside, I wanted to buy a Wellbrook loop recently, and Andy Ikin indicated he/Wellbrook Communications didn't have the capacity to manufacture and he was moving towards retirement.. your mileage may vary..

dump1090 - 2 vs. 8MHz and RSSI
Hi All, Been building some antennas and playing with my RSP2 and dump1090 to plot aircraft using VRS. Am able to decode signals from aircraft >350km away so all seems to be working well. Can someone explain to me (novice) how to understand the difference between running dump1090 in 2MHz vs 8MHz mode...

Balun needed for coax fed dipole on hi-z port?
Hi - I'm very much a beginner here, and plan to build an inverted-v dipole for use with my SDRplan RSP2. I understand the hi-Z port has an impedence of 1k Ohms. Does this mean I would not require a balun if using a relatively short (say 10-20 meters?) coax feedline to the dipole? Alternatively if I ...

Re: Initial impressions - great!
Thanks for the reply. It seems to be related to the level of zoom I have set on the spectrum windows. If I have multiple VRXs running (2-3) and zoom any of them in to the maximum, the audio drops occurs. Anything lower than full zoom and I can run a higher sample rate no problem. I am wrapped with t...

Can't go above 1.5Mhz bandwidth or choppy audio
Hi All, New to the SDRplay and have just received an RSP2. I'm running SDRuno under Windows 8.1 on a 64bit laptop, core i-5 with 8gig of RAM, 2 cores. In SDRuno, if I set SR (Mhz) to anything above 2Mhz which gives me an IF BW of 1.536Mhz I get chopped up audio. The Sys utlization reported in SDRuno...
