Re: using SDRplay on a 32 bit os

Good day, All good questions. I had a lot of trouble trying to get SDRPlay working on a 32bit slackware install. I almost got there but in the end never really did everything working the way I wanted. In order to get even that far along I had to build all the soapy and gr-osmocom bits and pieces and...

Re: Sdr-console V3 Preview is out

Downloaded and gave V3 a try. Initial impressions are good. Installation was smooth, creating a radio was easy and intuitive. However, how to change frequencies is not clear - left or right click, scroll well ????? was only able to move the frequency scale along the bottom to get large frequency cha...

Re: SDRPlay simple modifictions

Hi Philip, I considered using the larger size LED and clip in the hole left by the SMA connector but I found the size a bit big and not quite in right place. I am going to put a decal or label or something on the top right corner to cover it up - perhaps a custom SDRPlay label of some sort. Did the ...

SDRPlay simple modifictions

Good day all, This morning I made a couple of small and simple mods to my SDRPlay. First off, I prefer to have an F type connector rather than SMA, so that was one modification. Secondly, I prefer my antenna connector to be on the back along with the USB connection, so along with the above this was ...

Re: SDRPlay CAT interface

Hi Paul, I have been seeing some of the bits of information on Simon's v3. I certainly does look more appealing. It seems like the folks at SDRPlay are becoming more and more aligned with SDR Console which is a good thing. Perhaps v3 will be just what I am looking for. I will be patiently waiting, o...

SDRPlay CAT interface

Good day all, Is there or is there any plan to provide a CAT like interface for SDRPlay? What would be the best way to provide such an interface, through EXTIO_SDRPlay.dll or through the API? Details? I have been poking around at finding some information on EXTIO_x.DLL programming with the hope of b...

Another question about SDRPlay antenna connector

Good day all, Question for the designers of SDRPlay. Is there any reason why the antenna connector on the SDRPlay is on one side of the case and the USB connection on the other? By design to reduce EMI / RFI from the USB connection? Due to considerations or concerns with respect to the PCB layout an...

Re: Morse Decoding

Search for "Virtual Audio Cable" or VAC. There are open source (i.e. no cost) and pay for version available for Windows which work quite well. You may also be able to connect your speaker out to mic in your computers sound card and accomplish something similar. However, you would no longer be able t...

Re: Antenna input socket

Graham,

Very nice, well done. It looks quite like a speaker and would look at home on any operating desk.

Re: Strange signal?

Hard to tell from what you have posted. However, from your description and screenshot if I was to make a guess, it looks like the type of RFI / EMI you will see from wired ethernet/networking. You will find this type of EMI / RFI from HF through VHF at regular intervals and has a repetitive sound an...
