Re: Page of free sofware for SDR!!!

... downloaded the sigmira program and it seems I have finally found a way to listen to the digital signals on the sdr... If you find sigmira is not good as front-end (the support for sdrplay is "experimental" I'm afraid...) you can still use it as back-end. In other words: use a front-end like sdr...

Re: Interference identification?

Well this thread must be jinxed...I enjoyed mostly unharmed reception until this weekend but now... :( ... The only thing I care about is "will it go away?". ... Did you try to lower the gain? Did you get the same pattern? ...the authorities... they had "more important work to do". In this era of e...

Re: Interference identification?

Thank you very much. It seems that I have this sort of noise but fortunately it is not so strong. That's probably the reason I never realized this was caused by a powerline modem. I just archived that as due to thunderstorm around. In fact I have more noise from other "local" sources: lcd/plasma tel...

Re: Interference identification?

If I understand well, jpsa posted an image of an idle modem,
in other words those horizontal lines are a sort of hearthbeat to keep in synch the system.

Can anyone share here an image of a full operating modem? I mean, when there is data traffic?

Thanks in advance.
Gio.

Re: P25 Trunking

I forgot to say... if you use the "old" sdr# build 1361 (+ sdrplay device controller 3.8.3) you can
use the DSD interface plugin for sdr#.

Re: Interference identification?

The short answer is: I don't know. In the meantime we wait for a noise "guru" to answer... since the noise seems to be "local", have you tried to unplug from main all the electronic device you have at home? Take away all phones, tablets and so on? If you find the answer please share with the communi...

Re: P25 Trunking

You can try with DSD+ (aka dsdplus). You need the following "set-up" (in synth): a front end software supporting sdrplay (e.g. sdr#) --> vb-cable --> dsd+ (btw: unfortunately sdr# do not support completely sdrplay, so, for example you cannot use useful sdr# plugin like "dsd+ plugin" nevertheless you...
