Re: Apple (i.e. macOS) now 4th largest PC manufacturer in the world.

The black part of the graph at the following site has grown a bit, but be honest - it's still hard to see much past the blue part. Technically there's not a good way to develop for multiple platforms - it's not just a matter of recompiling. Apple's system is VERY different to code for, and it's no o...

Re: Upgrade from 1.2 to 1.22

I don't know whether the width of the left side is part of what you're describing w/regard to "grid", but can you please consider making it a little wider (or ideally make it resizeable) too? I don't think I'm being overly wordy with the naming of my .s1b files, but some of them don't really fit... ...

Re: Upgrade from 1.2 to 1.22

I've lost the saved workspaces in every upgrade.

The new version lifts limitations on window sizes, so you may WANT to redo your workspace anyway.

Re: waterfall palettes -- reference information?

I've not seen one myself. You're left to experiment.

I ended up liking Horne's the best. Most stuff is a cool/dark blue, and strong signals warm up to red. With the RBW boosted up, the dark blue seems to minimize any sense of flickering.

Re: monitor SDRUno audio output into FLDIGI

Personally I bought a small audio cable (a few inches long, mini-plug to mini-plug) and wired my line out to my line in. Those connectors weren't in use for anything anyway, so...

FFT off when closed?

I usually watch SDRuno's waterfalls as much as I listen, but I was setting up to do some other things and decided to leave the radio audio on. I noticed that minimizing all the SDRuno windows doesn't result an any lower CPU usage (which hovers around 4.7% normally). Not that 4.7% is a big deal for t...

I can't speak for others but I find the SDRUno software quite good.

When is NBN Useful?

I've gotten amazing results from the NBW feature, on occasion it will clean up signals that are completely covered by what sounds like 60 Hz sparking and make them smooth and clean. I presume the W in NBW means "wide", and the N in NBN means "narrow" Trouble is, I've not been able to observe or hear...

By the way, whomever is answering for SDRplay Tech_Support... It's GREATLY appreciated that you are here discussing practical usage at this level (and thanks as well to the other users here). Many things I've come to learn and suspect simply by using this software/hardware are being confirmed in thi...
