Re: RSP1A and SDR#

I too continue to use SDR# because it is currently the ONLY SDR software which offers accurate features and display similar to those of a true spectrum analyzer with very good resolution down to less than 2khz.....Now if only it had markers and a delta function *sigh*.

Re: Liking my SDRplay RSP1

Very good :). I've been in the game since about 1970 and have used countless receivers both tube & solid state. First taste of SDR several years ago was with a Flex Radio Systems Flex 1500. Great little SDR rig and hooked me on the technology. I love SDR technology because it is so adaptable and is ...

Re: RSP2 with hardware frequency tuning wheel

Yes, it is possible to use a Griffen Power Mate with the RSP. I've successfully done it several times. BUT In order for it to really work well - i.e. little to no jerkiness, smooth tuning with no pops etc., you must use HDSDR as your SDR program because as far as I know it is currently the only prog...

Re: Long-wire performance on different ports, bands

Hi Franko, I would recommend that you turn off the AGC (on the MAIN panel in SDRUno), and then use the IF Gain Reduction slider to manually adjust the overall receiver gain, also, try turning the LNA off and on to see which is best. These things should avoid most overloading. I've gotten to where I ...

RSP-2 antenna select via Device Control Panel?

Hi All, Is it possible to select between the antenna ports of the RSP-2 via the driver's Device Control Panel? I'm thinking of buying an RSP-2 but I want to use it with an older version of SDRSharp, which does allow access to the device control panel. But if I cannot select antenna ports from there ...

Re: Old ham, new technology!!

Very good Bob! I was licensed as a teenager in the 70s and in those days us young boys (at least all of the ones which I knew) used hand-me-downs and whatever else we could scrounge to get on the air with :). I've used many ARC-5 TX & RX rigs, countless Collins, Drake, Heathkit, and others as well a...

Is the RSPx missing an opportunity?

The SDRPlay RSPx can be used as a pretty good spectrum analyzer for testing purposes but I believe that it could be much better and could even compete with the Signal Hound USB-SA-44. The significant differences between the Signal Hound and the SDRPlay are mainly in the available software. If a dedi...

Re: Questions re SDRplay

The SDRPlay should work well for this. But keep in mind also that your Python program will need to provide all of the signal demodulation and filtering as well as basic control.
