New API/ EXT IO not compatible with SDR#
Only SDR# 1361 and HDSDR offer anywhere near the functionality I require for FM DXing. SDR# offers a full frequency scanner which is invaluable during openings and unfilter 192kbps audio to feed to an external RDS decoder program. I have an RSP1 original. I tried installing EXTIO PLUGINS – VERSION 1...

Re: Why so much delay?
The same problem occurs when listening to DAB. Analogue FM to FM via SDR#/SDRPlay - less than a second difference - more like an echo. Analogue FM to DAB (DABPlayer+RTL dongle) - DAB is 3 seconds behind. The reason is that it takes time to digitally process a signal. In the first example above there...

Re: RSSI
SDR-Console v2 has a separate application called SDR Data File Analyser. Once you have recorded a file (or series of files) - from SDR Console v2, or HDSDR (SDR-Uno not tried) you can then load the recording into the program - select signal history and it will display the signal strength of the sele...

Re: 2 MHZ low pass filter for MW and LW reception
Hi Andy, My main interest is FM DX in the 65 - 108 MHz range - the MW interest is secondary but might develop once I get some transatlantic reception. I did get Xingyang on 1377 kHz a few evenings ago. The only aerial I have is a 70 MHZ dipole fed directly to the RSP (now through the filter) As far ...

2 MHZ low pass filter for MW and LW reception
Medium wave reception suffers break through from the LF shortwave bands. Based on an article found on the internet for a filter for LW radio I've built a filter for MW using cheap axial inductors and polyester capacitors. I've documented it in the link below and hope it will be useful. As a quick su...

Re: zeor or low if
With zero IF you have the problem of mirror images of strong station on one side of the centre frequency showing up on the other side of the centre frequency. To minimise this the I/Q channels need to be very carefully balanced. Current version of the SDRPlay API have this built in under the Advance...

Me three - especially the performance of the high selectivity filters and the isolation between the antenna inputs.

Re: Proposed upgrades to RSP1 no cancelled ??
OK - it seems 225-425 kHz is also of interest to quite a few people - hence why there is a published circuit.

Re: install mayhem
At least you haven't suffered the problem I've had with f-secure (not with RSP software). It has decided that setup.exe and install.exe are risky files and automatically deletes them. The reason they are risky is given as "they could make changes to your computer"! It was a nightmare workin g out ho...
