I have been using a Flex 1500 with a Wellbrook loop Rx aerial and a long(ish) wire as Tx aerial. So I am quite familiar with PowerSDR and I really like it and my little Flex.
A relative of mine who lives abroad recently bought an RSP1 and I was lucky enough to get my hands on it to try it out.
I had absolutely no trouble downloading and installing SDRuno on my little Win10 I5 micro PC I use for radio.
Running SDRuno with the RSP1 was a bit of a shock! It's a complex and very powerful combination. To new users I would say:
1/ Don't change any default settings until you're sure what it will do!
2/ RTFM ! And then read it again ..... And then read the Cookbook!
It's more difficult to drive than my Flex setup but much more adjustable. It covers a greater frequency range. It easily does an 8 meg sample compared to 48kcs. It has a few funnies but it receives very well on my Wellbrook.
Ok so it doesn't transmit
I've just bought one for myself !!
