Blutooth Raspb Pi and SDR Play

I'm really enjoying the SDR Play yet, try as I might, I cannot get the Bluetooth speaker to output sound from the PI with SDRPLay running.
The Pi recognises and couples to the speaker on BT and plays internet files from YouTube etc just fine with a really good sound, but it's
zilch when it comes to the SDR. Currently I am using the SDR outputting via the HDMI cable to DELL monitor with built in speakers, but the sound quality
isn't too bright.
I wonder if anyone else had had this issue?
