SMA antenna connector can twist

Post by OZ8MS » Sun Oct 14, 2018 8:21 am

Hi there.
I do not really like SMA connectors at all, as all my cables has BNC connectors. When using a BNC to SMA converter, in order
to connect the antenna to my RSP1A, it is a problem that the used female SMA connector can turn so easily in its "black-box" - even after I have tried to tightening it.
Mounting the "BNC to SMA converter" on the BNC antanna cable first, and then mounting the SMA-end to the RSP1A secondly helps, but it is not "mecanicly stable".
Any idea of how to improve this "weak point"?
Best regards OZ8MS / Jan
