Audio AGC cannot be defeated.
Audio AGC cannot be defeated.
We want to use SDRPlay for monitoring solar flares and other radio astronomical purposes. It is important that we turn off AGC completely for these uses, however, there seems to be considerable AGC still applied to the audio line. Monitoring the level of the audio and using a broadband noise source, I can vary the signal input widely but the audio level, after a short excursion the audio level returns to the original level. So some type of AGC is still being applied. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Jim
