SDRUno Recording - Bandwidth and Timer Function

Post by mschacter » Thu Jun 08, 2017 4:53 pm

The user manual is pretty deficient in explaining the details of the recorder function. I have two questions that I hope someone can help me with.

1) How do I control the amount of spectrum covered by a particular recording?

2) Is there a way to do a timed recording. In other words, can I set the recorder up to automatically start at 9.00 pm and stop at 9.30 pm?

I am using the RSP2Pro with the latest version of uno

Thanks!

The recording spectrum is determined by the sample rate and decimation you've selected in the Main window, it's the same as "Final SR". The recorder seems to simply write the post-decimation data stream as a WAV file - there are no supplemental sampling controls in the Recorder function. You cannot independently set the BW managed in real time vs that of Recorder.

I haven't been able to find any timer controls in Recorder, so I'd say the answer to your second question is no. It would be a useful enhancement in SDRUno 1.14, though.
