Calibrating SDRUno

Post by VE3TMT » Sun Apr 15, 2018 8:54 pm

Hi,

How do I calibrate either my RSP1A or SDRUno so the cursor lines up with the signal?

For example, if I tune to a local FM station, the peak of the signal is about 1/8" of an inch to the left of the cursor. Same with my local 2m repeater.

Max

Page 42 of the SDRUno User Manual has details on calibrating the RSP sdr's. It is installed with SDRUno.

'An eighth of an inch' doesn't mean a lot Max, as it depends on what span you have selected and any zoom you are using. Can you say how many KHz it is? The RSP2 and 1a are usually very close to their claimed frequency (with in a few hundred Hz at VHF) and anything bigger than this may indicate something else. Bear in mind also that amateur repeaters may be in error anyway.
