Trying to Get the CAT connection working between SDRPlay and Yaesu FTDX 5000

The Yaesu FTDX5000 uses a serial port so you must be using a USB to serial adapter. You seemed to indicate this is working with another program.
You need to make sure Omni-Rig is running in your system and then you have selected Rig 1 and set the Yaesu 5000 as your rig. Then you need to set the right COM port, baud rate, and number of stop bits. In SDRuno you have to go into Main Settings and under ORIG see if the Yaesu is responding. If that is OK go into the VRX you want to connect (usually the default one) and set everything up as shown below. You also have to select RSYN1 on the VRX window as shown below. There are more details in the User Manual pages 56-57.
