Initial Default Values To Try ?

Post by Robert11 » Mon Mar 11, 2019 8:39 pm

Hello,

Might some of you experts, if you get a minute, perhaps Post
what might be good default values to initially try for as many of the
incredible number of options as possible ?

Both for <30 MHz, and >30 MHz

Would be most helpful, and appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

i'm certainly far from expert, but perhaps it would be helpful for you to say which receiver and antenna/e you're using and perhaps whether you have any special intrerests.

Hi,

Oops. Really should have included in my initial Post.

Have an RSP-2.
For HF, using a long wire in backyard. Hooked to the HiZ input
For anything above 30 MHz or so, I have a Scantenna up in the attic. Hooked to ANT A

Sr. citizen now, very, and am trying, very hard to learn to use SDRUno. Certainly a challenge.

Have a Mac, and am also playing around with CUBIC on it.
Using SDRUno, via Parallels, under the W10 emulation, does seem the way to go.

But, it's awfully complicated.
At least for me.
Any hints on initial setup, etc. would be most appreciated.

Frankly, I like most anything foreign <30 MHz that I can hear in the evenings.

Project lately has been trying to pick up Radio Bhutan on 6.035. Bhutan is sort of a hobby with me.
I don't think they use any Relay, so has been a challenge. Got once or twice (I think).

For the vhf/uhf, I enjoy picking up Aero and Maritime.

Thanks for interest.
Best regards,
Bob
