RECEIVE DATA OUTPUT FEATURE SUGGESTION

SDRuno computes and displays a wealth of receive data, such as Received dBm, Received SNR, Receive frequency, "S" meter data, etc. So all this operational info is already available to the operator's eyes. A very useful feature would be to make this data available as "DATA EXCHANGE". For instance one could get an EXCEL datasheet open and data coud be recorded, say every 10" or any other time frame suitable.

With such a facility one could monitor a given frequency and achieve data collection over a given period of time: a communications receiver becoming a data logger....

You can output the dBm and SNR value for a given frequency every n seconds using the output power and SNR to CSV feature in the SP1 panel.

Tech_Support, thanks for your reply. I have checked that the CSV file is generated, but, unless I am missing something, the time control does not seem to work: whatever figure you put in, you always get 11 entries every 60 seconds of operation. What am I doing wrong?

You need to change the time mark interval in the SP1 panel settings.

Sorry, this is exactly what I meant by: "whatever figure you put in". Whatever TIME MARK INTERVAL I set, there is no change, e.g. between 10 and 12 values per minute.

I was going to try to do a CSV. When I went to change the time mark interval, I inadvertently changed FFT average instead. I thought something was strange when I saw 32 as one of the choices. Who would want to use 32 seconds as a time-mark interval :)

Maybe, this also happened with you.

Unfortunately this is not the case. I did change the time mark interval to all values with no result. I even changed PC from W7 to W10, to no avail!

That's odd. I tried it both SDRUNO 1.30 and 1.31
Both created csv files with the chosen time interval.

Does the time stamp appear in the waterfall when recording?
CSV recording will automatically enable time stamping if time stamping has not been manually selected.

Working here... I set the time mark interval to 10 seconds and press the PWR & SNR TO CSV button and get...

08/06/2019 19:31:30, 97420005, -123.5, -0.9
08/06/2019 19:31:40, 97420005, -123.5, -0.9
08/06/2019 19:31:50, 97420005, -123.5, -1.0

Then I changed it to 2 seconds and get...

08/06/2019 19:32:34, 97420005, -123.5, -0.9
08/06/2019 19:32:36, 97420005, -123.5, -0.9
08/06/2019 19:32:38, 97420005, -123.5, -0.9
08/06/2019 19:32:40, 97420005, -123.5, -0.8

So I'm not sure why it's not working for you.

Maybe you could capture a video and show it not working correctly?

SDRplay Support,

I am really sorry to give you this new problem, but here are my pics....I really do not understand what is happening. It behaves like this both with the IBM X61 + W7 and with LENOVO T540p + W10.

Best regards,
