I think I just realized we'll be able to use this as an antenna analyzer from HF through (at least) the 70 cm band? Am I wrong?

Yes, that should be possible with the aid of a directional coupler.

Hi SV6IEP

Yes, it works with RSPI, RSPII and RSPIA. I have a few small problems I need to talk over with SDRplay early next week, then I should be able to release the alpha version. Keep a look out on this thread for further updates.

Thank you for your kind, clarification Steve.
Any way for the future considerations, please take look here at command list pdf,
it is not difficult to add some remote functions.

Hi Djani

Thanks for the information. That looks like a very useful device, and, as you say, very easy to interface to. I've already had some other questions regarding this, so it's something I'll certainly consider. As I've already mentioned, the Analog Devices range of DDS signal generators available on EBay are cheap enough, but the frequency range, and spectral purity are limiting factors.

I think my comment about interfacing to external hardware may have been a bit misleading. I have no problems with interfacing with external hardware that provides additional functionality to the system. I won't be providing an interface to other SDR radios by using extio.dll, or any other means, so the analyser will be restricted to using the SDRplay range of radios only.

Hi Steve.
I have just purchased an SDR RSP2 and some low cost emc probes to see if these can be used as a cheap analyser for EMC/EMI problems.

I'm looking forward to trying your software, ... it looks very interesting.
I note that you say it is compatible with the RSP1 series.

If you would like some testing done with the RSP2 then please let me know, and I would be very pleased to help.
Good luck with the project !
Best Regards
Stephen G.

Probably wise, because then it can be optimized for these radios. Also far less for you to keep track of - i.e. which hardware has which features etc.....

Hi All

Just to let you know SDRplay have very kindly offered to host the software in their downloads section. I have to wait for Andy to get back from the states so he can set up an FTP link, then I can send the package up to them. He is not due back until around Wednesday and I suspect he will be quiet busy catching up. Keep an eye on this space and I'll let you know when it should be available to download.

This is a fantastic development & very good news. I am a retired filter specialist and wish to develop passive bandpass filters for the RSP's, but unfortunately my old Takeda (with built - in tracking gen) passed away and sorely needs a replacement. Keep up the good works!
