no audio from radio in HDSDR

I have a TS 590SG connected to HDSDR and a RSP2. I get what sounds like background static when I open HDSDR on the laptop but not the sound from the rig. The soundcard selection is set on Speakers/headphones Realtek. I hope I just have something not set correctly.
