I've used this. I read in several places that it was the best CW decoder. I get just as good results from Multipsk, and it's free.

I have not been able to get MRP40 to work with my RSP2 thru RSPuno. Are there some special set up procedures? I have downloaded the MRP40 version that is suppose to be for SDRPlay running on Windows 10.

Hello Joe,
MRP40 definitely worked with the RSP1. I don't know whether the author has upgraded the software to work with the RSP2 as well. If not, you may be able to get it to work, but only on either port A or port B. When you try to use it, will it run? What do you actually see?

Sincerely

I am using Port A for my antenna. The MRP40 screen appears but instead of MRP40 getting sound directly from the sound card in my laptop, its accessing the microphone of the lap top.
The sequence I'm using is:
1. Opening SDRPlay (I love this. The power of SDR is incredible)
2. Finding some good readable code
3. Opening MRP40
4. It opens but displays mostly trash. I note the frequency selection in MRP40 is masked out (not usable). Is MRP40 suppose to control the RSP2? If I tap on the laptop the sound is picked up and displayed on the MRP40 screen.

I need some step by step instructions
Thank you for your patience

Hello Joe,
Are you using the right version of MRP40? I do not believe you should be using SDRuno at all. This is from the MRP40 author's website:

Version History

MRP40-SdrPlay :
There is now available a special Version of MRP40 Morse Decoder which is compatible with SdrPlay Receiver
It has a wide band waterfall display and demodulates IQ-signals like a charm.
Features:
- all Ham Radio Bands supported 160m to 2m
- one click tuning for RF-HWLO and IF
- CW demodulation
- SSB to Voice demodulation
- Adjustable Bandwitdh for SSB and CW.
- Adjustable CW-Pitch
- You will need to go to SdrPlay Website and download the Current EXTIO Plugin istaller. Go to section "Platforms"
More Info and Mrp40 Download on the MRP40-SDR Website

I'll need to check this, but I think you only need the correct version of MRP40 and the appropriate ExtIO plugin.

Sincerely

Have you had MRP40 working with an RSP2 running SDRuno? Do you know anybody that has that could give me the steps involved?

microphone is not best choise!
best choise is to install a virtual audio cable
another alternative is to plug in a second (USB) soundcard for mrp40
Connect the LineIn of the second soundcard via a real cable to line out of your standard soundcard

Can't get MRP40 to work with SDRPlay.
I start SDRuno, find some CW then open MRP40.
MRP40 is somehow trying to use the microphone in the lap top as input.
The frequency control in MPR40 is disabled (clouded over).
I think the MPR40 should get its input from the sound card in the lap top.
I'm running Windows 10.
Sure wish I could get it to work.

Now I would like to find a Morse decoder (receive code to text and transmit text to code)

I compared a bunch of cw decoders a while back and settled on fldigi as the best performer. You need to play around with levels, squelch, bandwidth, CW speed and speed tolerance but, once you get the hang of it fldigi is very good. Oh, it can transmit too but, I haven't used this feature.
