Exercise Blue Ham?

Postby octave9 » Sun Mar 19, 2017 1:01 pm

Hearing a young English sounding operator on 5.2785 MHz USB. Callsign MRE41 on "Exercise Blue Ham" (could be Blue Hand). Stations are working him across the UK. Haven't caught their location.

Anyone know what it's about? Operators don't sound very experienced. Initial call was to "Alpha Charlie". They are only just breaking the noise here (Shropshire.)

Hi
Thanks for the link.
It seems a good idea ,in shared bands, to use the amateur community to get an estimation of the efficiency ,or lack of it,
of a commercial/military installation.
