I just read your post on: Step-by-step install guide for the RSP2 under Ubuntu 16.04.
Ran it on my black lab linux machine and it worked great. cubic is up and running just fine.
I thank you for the work you put into this project its really nice too have my sdrplay running again( i sidelined it because i hated running windows) but its going strong now.
hope you eventually get the gqrx running with sdrplay that would be great also.
