First post, just got my RSP up and running, pretty cool little box. Easily as sensitive as my Yaesu 450D.

Has anyone fried their SDR from a transmitting antenna being in the "near field"? If so, how close was it to your SDR antenna? Don't want to destroy it with my Yaesu and end fed or vertical and the guy next door has a Kenwood and a 3 element yagi.

I'm thinking that 30 or 40 feet is sufficient but I'd sure like some other opinions or real world experience.

My RSP2 is fed from a Wellbrook loop (or sometimes a random wire) only a few metres from my 160m vertical (it's for the 160m band, not 160m tall!) and I've not had any problems. I use fairly modest power levels though, never more than 35 watts PEP.
One thing as amazed me - if I keep the power down to about 10w, I find I can tune around the bands on the RSP while actually TX'ing! It helps if I put the null of the loop toward the vertical.
