SAM mode

Post by Paul » Tue Oct 17, 2017 9:02 am

Corruption: Quite often when monitoring a frequency in this mode with very satisfactory audio, it becomes corrupted for no obvious reason,no changes having been made to RX controls.
Any suggestions anyone?

Not knowing what software is being used. I have run SAM mode for hours in SDRuno without a hiccup.

It works reliably here. One mistake people make is to have the tuned frequency and the LO frequency the same, which corrupts the signal. The other possibility is that the signal is fading in and out and the sync is lost.

Thanks Both
I don't find it a huge problem, it's simply that I wondered why.
It's reliable generally - just happens occasionally and the suggestions may well answer my question.
