I’m considering purchasing but I’d like to know if it works with Gnu Radio.

Thanks.

It supports the SoapySDR libraries, so you will either need to get the gr-osmosdr build that supports SoapySDR or have a look at the work done by Frank Werner-Krippendorf with osmosdr for SDRplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlXDkWQ59F4

It does. I recently installed it on the latest Kali. Takes a couple of steps including installing osmosdr like posted above. Nice resource is Crazy Danish Hacker who’s setting it all up for GSM sniffing. I mostly followed his steps and got it (almost) working.

Got it almost working, but gnuradio kept reporting errors. After installing GRC (Gnu Radio Companion) en jugglng with some examples involving SDRPlay libs it started working.

I’m using gqrx regularly with reasonable results. Antenna selection is not possible, but Antenna Port A works fine.

So if you have a reasonable ampunt of linux experience (apt install shouldn’t be new to you :)) it will work just fine.

Hi, have you done it successful? I am using RSP2 and I want to do somethig with RSP2 and gnuradio. But I failed. Can you give me your grc file? I have constructed one, some errors occur in my settings. Can you give me some help?

I picked up one of these after Christmas. Doing lots of manual compiling resulted in basic tuning on Debian 9 (stretch) with Cubic, but I still haven't gotten GNU Radio or gqrx working. I've tried combinations of Soapy, osmosdr, etc., but nothing seems to work. I just tried starting over, following the official instructions for installing on non-Windows, then compiled GNU Radio and gqrx from scratch - neither seem to work. Using gqrx does give me a waterfall, but I've tried using the settings that are working in Cubic, and all I get is noise. Really frustrating.

Can anyone provide step-by-step instructions for getting GNU Radio working? The official git repo doesn't seem to work if you just follow all the appropriate instructions for the project and supporting projects (e.g. gr-osmosdr).

I just saw the message posted yesterday about official support coming in gr-osmosdr: https://www.sdrplay.com/community/viewt ... f=7&t=2881 (in beta at time of writing). Going to give that a try!

Is there an "osmocom-source" binary for GNUradio that supports SDRplay RSP1 or RSP2 available for Windows 10? I'm guessing that would be soapySupport.dll and umtrx.dll since those are the libraries that failed to load, but it may be something else, I don't know. I would really appreciate it. I'd like to run GNUradio with RSP2 but the osmocom source does not have a built-in source for 'sdrplay'. I've searched the forums and keep going around in circles. I've tried following some of the directions given, but have not had any luck yet. Thanks.

GNU radio flow is much smoother these days for all the RSPs (RSP1, RSP1A, RSP2, RSP2pro and RSPduo) - https://www.sdrplay.com/docs/gr-sdrplay-workflow.pdf

For Raspberri Pi users, see this video: https://youtu.be/qXThS1XszhQ

Hello,

I've been searching for the details about running GNU radio with RSP2pro. What should I start with?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
you may want to start from this post by Jon with SDRplay: https://sdrplay.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3770
The steps to get Gnu Radio working with your RSP2pro are shown here: https://www.sdrplay.com/docs/gr-sdrplay-workflow.pdf

Hope this helps,
Franco
