Re: Orbital Satellite HRPT Image Reception
In case anyone was wondering how well the NooElec SAWBird GOES LNA/Filter combined with the Premiertek 1m grid antenna described in the HRIT and LRIT Low-Cost System ( https://www.sdrplay.com/community/viewt ... f=5&t=3262 ) works for HRPT, here is an initial test showing the signal level from a NOAA 18 pass as well as a manually-tracked image showing subtropical storm Alberto from NOAA 19 with a 31 degree maximum altitude pass. WIth optimized antenna tracking, results are expected to be better.

Better 60 degree maximum altitude hand tracked NOAA 19 HRPT pass using the Premiertek ANT-GRID-24DBI antenna and the NooElec SAWBird GOES LNA.
