I followed the directions to the letter, used the suggested SD card formatter and wrote the image file with Win32 Disk Imager and when I turn on the Raspberry Pi, I get an error message " 1.3213701--- [ end Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown_block(179,2)

I have redownloaded and installed the image twice with the same results HELP !!

Have you tried a different card? It may be that you have a bad SD card.

IT was a new 16Gb sd card, but someone else told me that to so will try and let you know .
