Hello good people,
I hope I find you and your families in good health and good cheer. It has taken a while to decide which unit to purchase, thank goodness for YouTube videos. Ordered Thursday morning about 9am, delivered Friday morning at 10:48, wonderful service.
However, I am a 75 year old disabled pensioner, far from being an accomplished IT specialist. As this is my first foray into SDR, I would give my left arm for a instruction book. I have the software loaded and the unit is in operation, all be it with the usual "piece of wire" as an antenna. I am awaiting delivery of the correct adaptors to attach the main antennas properly.
Having got this far, I now find that if I want to control the main shack TRX along with the SDR, I need to load software called "Omnirig", the instruction is that "Omnirig" must be loaded first!!. Does this mean that I have to delete all the software for SDR, load "Omnirig" then reload all the SDR software again?.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
regards,
