Unknown USB Tuner Dongle..not recognised by Cubic

Post by NeilP » Thu Apr 12, 2018 7:22 am

As those of you that have seen my posts so far will know..I am just getting in to this and still failing around int he dark a bit.

Main machine here is an Apple Mac.an old 2008 Mac Pro tower running El Capitan.

Have got Cubic SDR and now an unknown USB Tuner dongle that does not appear in the Cubic SDR Devices list.

Am guessiing a driver of some sort is needed...but how to identify what I have got.

Any one heard of Elgato EyeTV Hybrid...has TV style socket at the end.
Info on the back:

2HY308101001 #5309
DTI0912004350 A LF

Might not be compatible with anything ....I can get it to receive signals with its own brand software..so the stick itself works...

Guess I'd need to ID the chipset used? is there a command prompt command for that?

Open it and take a look into so see the chips compatibility.
they are so dirty cheap that is better trash it and buy a compatible one.
