Bias T

Post by Graeme » Tue Apr 24, 2018 5:50 am

I stupidly pumped 12V into the antenna socket from another receiver. I forgot that it had a 12v bias tee. The RSP1A still works but I have blown up the bias T drive. Looking at the board I know I have destroyed the device marked CA1 and possibly the device marked CJZ. Can anyone identify these? The one marked CA1 I think is a dual FET probably 2n7002 but there are many variants of this device.I'm not expecting that the full schematic will be released but info on this part of the circuit would be helpful. Thanks.

Update. I removed the dual FET as it's definitely faulty. More digging about suggests that it is a DMG1016UDW which is a complementary pair. This matches with the voltages with the device removed. The bias voltage is still on the source of one of the FETs so I think it will work when this is replaced.
