I installed a KD2C Panadapter Hi-z tap board (PAT)in my Yaesu FT736R to feed a RSP1A and the results are excellent.
The 736R is 144,222,432,1296 MHz and during contests and sprints I was turning the VFO listening for stations to work.
Now I just watch my monitor and all the activity on whatever band I am on shows up and I tune right to the frequency.
Install is fairly simple and the instructions and schematic point connections are well defined. It took me @20 minutes to install.
I am installing another KD2C Panadapter Hi-z tap board into my icom IC 9100. Just about any solid state radio can be fitted with a
PAT. No need for isolation switches to disconnect the RSP1A receiving antenna when you transmit, the PAT is wired so it does it
thru the radios circuitry. A great combination of the SDR Play RSP1A and KD2C Panadapter Hi-z tap board.
