Heavy broadcasr breakthrough
Heavy broadcasr breakthrough
HI
I have been experiencing pretty heavy broadcast breakthrough for the past several days.
I have made no changes to my antenna setup and have been running Sdruno 1.23 successfully since before the breakthrough began.
It is obviously broadcast, quite loud, but cracley and unitelligible.
I am in a rural location and normally experience hardly any such problems other than AM breakthrough in the MF band, dealt with effecively by the built in filter.
It seems to have some sort of diurnal cycle
Am I alone in experiencing this at present or has it something to do with the current Sun cycle and therefore likely to be widespread?
Anyone else afflicted?

Re: Heavy broadcasr breakthrough
It could be a shortwave broadcaster. Many of these transmitters are in the hundreds of kilowatts.
