I am debating what to get. I am having a hard time finding information on the performance of the receivers between the rsp2 and rspduo. I am also interested in if it is possible to do diversity and synchronize two rsp2s when using an external time reference.

One of the reasons why the RSPduo has been designed is to obtain the ability of effective diversity operation with suitable software, which is in development now. Literature is generally available on this subject.
