How to share SDRplay and a Transceiver with an external receiver ?

Postby dustin » Thu Nov 19, 2015 5:12 pm

I found this Tutorial to use the SRDplay and a Transceiver on the same external Antenna.

Does it work or will it damage the receiver?
Is there another way?

Thanks and best regards, Dustin

There are other ways also, it depends on the transceiver a lot, I use the Yaesu FTdx3000 and have the option of IF out or RX out, and no switches are needed... What radio are you trying to use it with??

The possibilities of SDR radios inspire me but I have no HAM radio license so far , so I want to use my old CB radios for Transmission.
The options here are very limited. There are no special RF or IF outputs available.
the only way I've found is the elad switchbox, but I dont know if the Isolation by transmission is high enough that the SDR does not damage.

Thank you for your quick response.
