All:

Yan with ZeusRadio told me today that ZeusRadio software may soon be compatible with SDRPlay. That would be great news for me who does not like SDR# at all and HDSDR little more.

At the moment ZeusRadio will not work with SDRPlay.

According to Yan:
We has contact with SDRPlay support team and we know what is happening. The max bandwidth in Zeus radio is 3.2MHz but when you try launch SDRPlay via ExtIO the 6-8MHz bandwidth received in Zeus Radio. We will improve this in nearest future.
I'm not sure how long this will be free software as I have been running a trial beta version.

If you'd like to see the interface take a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4Q1EHi21iE

Nice interface, no? I really hope this comes to pass soon.

In trying to correct the typo in the title of this post phpBB is telling me, "You must enter at least two poll options."

Poll options?? This is not a poll...or did I do something wrong? In any case I am unable to correct the word "compatile" to "compatible."

Strange.

Question, will we be able to load the api-sdrplay driver or will it use a ip remote connection client-server type or other to connect to sdrplay.
If you Know would you explain.

Yes, I am told it will indeed be priced at $50.00 USD or about £35.00.

Rgood, I don't really know all the particulars. You can join the open Yahoo group https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ZeusRadio/info and ask the developers directly if you are interested.

Ok did some searching and found the trial version Zeus Radio v2.9.1(En) .
- Bug fixes

- Import/Export all settings now available

- ExtIO support. Now you can use Zeus Radio with RTL-SDR, Elad, Peaberry, Winradio, SDR-IQ, Afedri, QS1R, and etc.

- Hermes (Anan, Afedri)

- Odyssey support

- HiQSDR support
If installing on windows 7 make sure you update your netframe works and install microsoft visual c++ 2010 vcredist_x86.exe or the zenus radio software won't run.Just like HDSDR installion
Once installed, open the installion folder and place your EXTIOxx.dll softrock.dll SDRplay_EXTIO_Installer_v3.5.exe
Click on EXTIO shortcut choose your .dll It worked with the rtl2832 and softrock sdr but not with sdrplay .
Installed it on a different computer still not working with sdrplay.
Here is the download page you may need translator: http://zs-1.ru/index.php/downloads/item ... io-v291-en

There are issues with Zeus Radio and the SDRplay EXTIO plugin - we are aware of these and will work with Yan to sort them out.

Will hopefully be able to post more information soon.

I have to say I LOVE the Zeus radio software--I have yet to see any SDR software as appealing. The 3D effect on the bandscope function is just amazing. I keep replaying the Zeus s/w demo with the demo files they have and when I show that display to friends their jaws drop--just a fantastic way to view the band and so much less tedious than any other SDR s/w out there.

I also like the way it is laid out and the functionality of the UI.

.
I sure hope you guys can get it up and running soon.

We do have it working but Zeus Radio doesn't fully support the capabilities of the RSP, so that's where the issues loading the EXTIO plugin come from.

We are working with the author, Yan, and we'll post updates when we can.

Best regards,

SDRplay Support
