Using SDRplay for broadcast Geostationary satellites.

Hi. I'm planning to use the SDRplay for pointing parabolic antena to fixed (Geostationary) satellites. Downlink frecuencies are in the 11-12GHz range, but the LNB downconverts to 1 to 2 GHz.
Of course I cannot decode the digital carriers, but I could see the "shape" of the satellite, mostly for identification (they are very close to each other)
Have anyone tried this?
