Hello all-
I am considering purchase of an SDRplay unit.

I want to use it as a Panadpter for a TenTec Eagle, using the 9 MHz IF out of the Eagle.

Using DXLAbs Commander. the Eagle is the primary receiver and the SDRPlay a 2nd receiver set to "follow and lead" the EAGLE.

A few questions -

Can Commander communicate with SDRPlay directly, or does any other protocol such as Kenwood emulate the SDRPlay?

What SDR software could I use in this configuration, remember the Eagle IF is inverted frequency, so the software would need to un-invert it.

Also how would freq sync be set up to track, as the SDR is seeing 9 MHZ, not the actual frequency the Tentec is tuned to.

I tried this with a FLEX1500 and Power- and could not invert the spectrum, nor get the frequencies to track.

use sdr-console and on external radio this uses omnirig to talk to the radio, and point dxlabs second cat to omnirig, hdsdr also works well, I use both on my FTdx3000 with dxlabs

I am confused on how to set up commander-Omni rig

When I go to Omni rig- what receiver do I use? I cannot find any info on what protocol SDRPlay uses.

Then when I set up commander secondary port - what do I use for CAT protocol? Same as what is set in Omni rig?

HDSDR controls the sdrplay, omnirig controls your ft-30000.
