Windows Update

Post by DonHoot » Fri Jul 08, 2016 5:28 pm

Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3149135)
Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3152599)

Just a quick FYI, one of these two updates, not sure which one did away with my hardware drivers (API?) I had to reinstall for SDR uno or HDSDR to work properly.

Known issues with several recent Windows 10 updates - updates breaking permissions, uninstalling software, flinging out drivers... not to mention Win 10 taking away control over the computer from its owner if you're not careful, Windows 10 sucks a$$ big time. They had good reasons to give it away for free. Don't ever fall for it, it's the most perverted OS MS has ever released.

Another oddity, exact same update to Win 10 on my other computer did NOT disturb drivers! Go figure!

Yeah it hits users/machines randomly. Only one of the more recent update cockups really made it to the news, it keeps on happening since then but seems to affect fewer users. It has caused me some unnecessary work anyway.

Hello :)
Known issues with a few late Windows 10 overhauls - redesigns breaking authorizations, uninstalling programming, throwing out drivers... also Win 10 taking endlessly control over the PC from its proprietor in case you're not cautious, Windows 10 sucks a$$ no doubt. They had great motivations to give it away for nothing. Never get bulldozed by it, it's the most distorted OS MS has ever discharged.
