VFO knob for RaspberryPi

Post by HNRAO » Wed Dec 12, 2018 7:47 pm

Has anyone, or does anyone know of, designed and or build a VFO (external) device for the Raspberry Pi as a tuner? I know they have them for the Windows version of SDRUno. Wondered if anyone has made one work with the Pi version.

You can mod/retro fit a VFO knob using any old USB mouse and a rotary encoder.

I am running an ELAD TM-2 controller with Linux using a home made driver programmed in Python that should work with a Raspberry Pi. This is not a VFO knob alone but a complete controller with display, see pictures. It controls my TS590SG and my RSP1A with gqrx.
