PC Crash on Windows 10
PC Crash on Windows 10
I keep getting this Windows 10 Crash problem. A fatal Exception with a frown face on a blue screen. It dumps the memory and restarts the PC. It started when I installed Mimrics. It seemed to go away for a day when I uninstalled and reinstalled mimrics, but now it is back again.
The SDR UNO software and the SDRPlay are really nice for an SDR, but I wont be able to continue with these crashes.
My PC is powerful. It is running a 6 core AMD FX6300 processor and 16 gig of DDR3 Ram and a 1 TB SSD by Sandisk. My PC is not an old slow system. So it shouldn't the PC.
The suggestion given by a previous tech support request was use USB 2.0 not 3.0 - Doing that.
Change the USB Cable? - Ok done, but I thought that was a strange diagnosis.
Still present. Any other ideas.
FYI - My Soft Rock Ensemble II and Rtl-SDR USB on SDR# do not seem to have this problem. They are extremely stable.
Thanks for your help.

Re: PC Crash on Windows 10
W9KJO, SDRuno does not need the Mirics code, so remove it, if you have no specific need for it (e.g. Mirics HW). This may remove the SDRPlay driver, so if it won't start, remove/install SDRuno. Please let us hear. Enjoy, John.
