SDR Touch SDRPlay Driver - Android N incompatibility

Now that Google updated my Nexus 6P to Android N, I can no longer play(pun intended) with my RSP. The beta driver now has the following notes:
WHAT'S NEW
- Added 16 bit mode capability (if host app supports it)
- Explicitly excluded Android N since it is unsupported by the native SDRplay driver
Will there be an update that will return my functionality or is there another method for direct connecting the RSP to android?
