Newbie questions
Hi
I am new to SDRs. After a lot of search and reading reviews, I've decided to buy a SDRPlay, but I have 2 concerns:
1- Should I wait, so the new gapless SDRPlay becomes ready?
2- Does it have good software support? (like AirSpy and RTL-SDR)
Thanks
Sasan

Re: Newbie questions
Hello Sasan,
The upgrade to deliver a gapless receiver will be as a result of a software upgrade to the API, not hardware. Existing owners of the RSP will be able to update their software to get gapless coverage. Please note though that whilst we are confident of a good outcome to this development, it is still work in progress an so at this stage we cannot provide an absolute guarantee of success.
As far as software support is concerned, we provide a plugin that is conformant to the Winradio ExtIO interface, which is used by a wide range of third party SDR applications. A sample of supported applications is listed on the website. We are also working on the development of plugins for new applications all of the time, so please keep an eye on this and other forums for announcements of new solutions.
Sincerely
SDRplay Tech_Support
