SDRSharp Zoom FFT not working at all

Hello! I am using SDRSharp for listening HF with SDRPlay RSP1. Every features of SDRSharp works very well, but the things in the Zoom FFT tap does not work at all. I am using Windows 10 64-Bit with SDRSharp Version 1500. Also, the plugin called "IF Processor" does not work at all. However, if I use the I/Q Wav file or other receiver (such as RTL-SDR v3), Zoom FFT and IF Processor works very well. How can I fix this problem?

You are aware that several functions in the SDR# plugin interface are locked intentionally for third party receivers which do not have the blessings of SDR#/airspy.com?
The blessed reveivers are:
Airspy
HackRF
RTL-SDRs
FUNcubes pro and pro+
SoftRock
RFSPACE SDR-IQ and Networked Radios
All other receivers have more or less restrictions in the plugin interface.
Nobody can fix this for a receiver "non-blessed". Only SDR# could. But I think you can imagine the reason why they don't.

Yup, SDR# v1.0.0.1500 does same thing here under Windows 7, no IF nor audio spectrum. Older version (1361) with older SDRPlay RSP DLL and spectrum zoom plugins works fine.....

Search the internet for "SDRSharp Build 1361" - you should find a link to a site that holds the software including some of the plug-ins. 1361 was the last build with a 'free' licence.

SDRSharp got a lot of bad press for stopping support for every other sort of SDR - but look at it from another point of view. The software was always meant for non-commercial use - arguably any other company coming along and using it for commercial gain would be breaking the terms of the free licence anyway. Only those companies who had participated in the software development would continue to be supported (that's my take on it).

From another angle - the software is continually evolving - and to have to ensure that every change that is made is compatible with every "tom, dick and harry's" bit of kit is either going to mean that you can't implement enhancements that are not universally compatible or your development times goes up enormously as even more new kit is brought out.

For example - SDRUno was brought up for the RSP1. I'd love to see it have an audio output to feed RDSSpy (192kHz sampling rate needed) and other stuff such as a scanner. Hopefully it will happen one day - but the RSP2 was brought out and no doubt all the resources went to getting that working on SDRUno. I doubt if SDRPlay will do anything to support other brands of SDR - even RTL dongles.

So for the time being Build 1361 remains the most versatile software for me as an FM-DXer for the SDRPlay. I also decided that two SDRs would give much better versatility and plumped for an AirSpy mini as the 2nd one.

To be fair it should be mentioned that SDRuno is a fork of a closed-source payware (Studio One, not to confuse with the Studio 1 (or vice versa) DAW software) that was bought by SDRplay to provide RSP users with a solution that's not relying on 3rd-party mercy. They (being a hardware company) opened a door for their users and did not close one for all others.

From a sales and advertising POV, the move to remove support for some direct competitor products and not some others (for whatever reason) rubbed many SDR# users the wrong way. They got "hooked" to SDR# while using their still supported RTL dongles and when they bought one of the "wrong" step-up devices, they - often quite unexpectedly - got a door slammed into their faces all of a sudden. That was rather upsetting and happened during a time when the RSP1 still had even more obvious shortcomings (the famous reception gap) on the main turf of the Airspy, which was considered to be the next purchase or an additional option by some of them (including me), in case things don't work out too well with the RSP up there. Then things actually didn't work so well for many in the VHF/UHF crowd among the RSP buyers, but after getting that bleeding nose that "additional Airspy" option lost most of its charme, and I (and I guess not only me) decided to wait for some other device coming along, which happened to be the RSP2.

In that light, dropping support for the RSP may have lost as much Airspy sales as it gained, even more so because it takes a long time until software gets mouldy, you can't make anything really vanish on the internet and it's quite easy to live with an older SDR# version that still works with the RSP, at least until a better solution comes along.
