Does anyone still have an FT-1000MP Mk V in use with an SDR Play RSP1?

If I just hook an antenna into the RX IN jack and the RSP1 into the RX OUT jack, that should work, right? It doesn't. I get no change to the waterfall versus having no antenna plugged in.

I searched the forum and found a link to a video that uses a Diamond SS500 to hook up the RSP1. I have questions on if that works and if so how. Do I don't have an SS500 or similar device, but want to use my RSP1 with the FT-1000.

Any advice is appreciated.

Maybe you have to configure your FT-1000 to actually use the RX IN input?

On my TS590SG, I have to do this, otherwise the TRX antenna (SO239 socket) is used.

What happens if you connect your antenna to the SO239 socket?

On the TS590SG, I have to enable the RX out function too, because using the RX out introduces some dB of attenuation to the received signal and if you don't want this, you have to disable the RX out function.
