RSP2Pro BC band filter?

Post by cncjerry » Thu Nov 09, 2017 5:27 pm

Does the RSP2Pro have a broadcast band filter? I tried listening to local AM broadcast and the reception is very weak, nowhere near as sensitive as other receivers I have.

Thanks

It does, in fact, have an AM broadcast as well as an FM broadcast filter. Depending on your software however, it may be called a "notch filter", not to be confused with an actual carrier notch filter.

The RSP's are very sensitive and will easily match any other RX I have here. If you are using SDRUno software, make sure the AM/FM reject filter is OFF if you wish to listen to MW BC stations.
Just curious, what antenna and which antenna port are you using, as it may have a bearing on your problem?
