SDR play 10 or 12 bit?
SDR play 10 or 12 bit?
SDR Play is advertised as having a 12 bit A/D converter. However the Mirics specs for MSi2500 are 10 bit.
Why the discrepancy?

Re: SDR play 10 or 12 bit?
Dear no9e,
The ADCs are 12 bit native converters that give at least 10.4 ENOB at 10 MS/s, so Mirics rate this as 10 Bits. It is really a case of how you specify these things. Apparently Mirics had a requirement for 10 bits or more for their system and so they aimed to achieve 10 bits or better.
Sincerely
