Skimmer Server support for SDRPlay RSP's

Post by n2ic » Fri Apr 27, 2018 2:44 pm

VE3NEA's Skimmer Server (http://www.dxatlas.com/skimserver/) now supports the RSP1, RSP1A and RSP2 using the driver at http://www.kkn.net/~n2ic/SDRPlayIntf.zip . This provides an easy way to get local CW or RTTY spots using your SDRPlay device, and send the spots to the Reverse Beacon Network (www.reversebeacon.net).

Note that Skimmer Server is supported, but CW Skimmer is not supported.

Hello Readers,

meanwhile i updated to the latest SDRplay - API (End of August 18) and to latest SDRPlayIntf (Sept 18).

I got it running with SkimmerServer for CW and RTTY under the following circumstances:
- 192kHz bandwith only
- maximimum of two different bands.

With 3 Bands i got it not running, with less bandwith i got incorrect spots (wrong frequency).

Using 192kHz and 2 Bands everythings is fine and it works for me.

Many Thanks!

Hello Steve and all,

Is there any plans for adding support for RSPDuo?

Cheers,
Victor, PA8MM
